Fiddly to use, packed up totally after 3 months August 29, 2008 Well, I have to say I'm very disappointed in the Sansa... After my old IPod packed in, and tired of ITunes tying you in to their own MP3 format, I decided to try something different.
I wish I hadn't! The menu is fiddly to use, the software kept doubling up on songs, some songs wouldn't delete, and then eventually the whole thing packed up completely just three months of very light use; the screen has turned completely white and will not reset. Sansa support seem unable to suggest how to fix this, so I am having to return it. I will not be asking for a replacement!
Simple & Slick August 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Simple to understand, simple to navigate, simple to load, easy to use, looks good, works straight out the box (once charged). What's not to like ?
Superb and very robust August 19, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought three of these at separate times, one each for wife, daughter and I. We've not tried video but as MP3 players they are superb. We all have i-nique Sandisk Sansa E200 series 'BLACK' Silicone Skin Case & Armband (E250, E260, E270, E280) in various colours and use them in the gym, on hols etc... week-days mine is normally in my rucksack for use on tube/ trains etc... We've had various players in the past (though not iPod since I refuse to join the MACalites) and none lived up to expectations. At the e280 price I expected a few niggles but there have been none. It works seemlessly with Windows Media Player (both licence protected and unprotected files) and no matter how many times they are re-charged, dropped or sat upon they all continue to work fine.
Only good for the basics August 17, 2008 Firstly, the menu structure is a pain. My main gripe is that if you put too many songs onto it without seperating them into folders it freezes up. The battery life and sound quality are very good but the four buttons around the volume wheel can be fiddly to operate.
Excellent easy to use product July 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently got this product for my birthday after debating for a long time on whether or not I really needed an MP3 player at all. After owning this for about a month or so I now realise how much I appreciate it.
Having never owned an MP3 player before I took a long time in trying to choose the right one for me; It needed to have lots of space as I have a LARGE cd collection and plenty of battery life. Also the price needed to be right. After careful consideration I settled on this and I am very happy with it.
Reading some of the reviews on here I worried about whether I could operate the player with ease as I read that some people had had problems. Rest assured that even someone like me who is not brilliant at operating gadgets had no such problems. Simply install the CD on your computer when you receive the player then download music from your CD to your hard drive then with a media player; ie Windows or Real Player transfer the tracks onto your MP3 player. It may take some getting used to but its not too hard with this player.
The next important thing for me was the sound quality which I find on this player to be great and not a problem at all. Also the display is clear and the menus are very easy to navigate.
All in all very happy with this product.
