This is very good photo camera i have ever seen. The white balance is fantastic. The resolution is high. the color is very detail. You may think is not an slr camera but,its better than a lot of slr cameras however,its an hybrid camera. I recommend this camera to those who want to be professional.

I have for some time used a Panasonic DMC-FZ5 as well as a Canon DSLR. The beauty of the FZ5 is that it produces excellent results through its' 5mp CCD sensor and Leica licensed 36-432mm (35mm equivalent) lens and is very compact - the only problem I ever found with this camera was that both zoom and manual focus were button controlled electronically driven.
Enter the FZ50. This is a much beefier camera with a 10mp sensor, and again a superlong Leica licenced zoom equating to 35-420mm (35mm equivalent) F2.8 - 3.7. But the zoom adjustment is now manual through a conventional zoom ring at the front of the lens barrel, and manual focus is again through a zoom ring on the barrel - exactly as a digital SLR lens. Superb!
This camera has been carefully designed and beautifully finished and is as easy to use as you want it to be. After just a month I am very impressed. Balance and handling is superb, and everything falls neatly to hand. It's like having a small SLR camera with a complete range of lenses in one neat package. There are modes to suite all - from full auto point and shoot to full manual with all the options - and everything in between. Results (and that's what counts at the end of the day) are excellent and easy to obtain.
I love it. It's the perfect compromise between a full SLR and a compact.
