BAD September 9, 2008 Im glad this seller no longer exists cos he sold me a fake product. I tried to get assistance from Nero and they said the serial was fake, so if this guy pops his ugly head up again, be warned !
Don't waste your money September 8, 2008 This software sort of limped along for a while. Every now and then it needs downloads. It is best to ignore these if you want the software to keep running. The last one I said yes to wiped the programme from my computer and then wasted several hours of my life saying it was downloading etc. It then reached the instal point, decided that the software was not in place and switched off. I am now one week in conflict with Nero over this rubbish. The original programme can be reinstalled from disc but then keeps on insisting the download that wiped the hard disc be in reinstal. When it is working it is very slow, clumsy and tends to grab XP to the point where everything else will run slowly and the computer can not be turned of for anything up to an hour after running Nero. Registering, obtaining plug ins, anything needing on line connection then you can say goodbye to using your computer for several hours. This is utter rubbish. I am about to take the loss and wipe it. Nero have little interest in sorting the problem out once some sort of on line call centre staff run of out of routine responses. I want to actually give no stars.
Nero 7 Premium a let-down March 14, 2008 Nero 6 Ultra was a fantastic piece of software and Nero as a company name was a market-leader in OEM burning software. I purchased Nero 7 Premium after a look around at the available products within my price range, and a look at the trial download showed good features and some new improvements that made it appear like the sun shone from the backside of this Nero 7. I went ahead and bought the software. Initially I was impressed, and it has to be said that I have prodcued numerous good-quality videos with the available features and transitions, and the burning software worked fine. However, after prolonged use I found that the software was very prone to crashes, errors and sometimes did not respond at all. The meat of the program is Nerovision, a video-editting facility. This was my main focus, and whilst some other programs were acting strangely (for example, the Nero Burning ROM just gave me an error everytime, despite repeated reinstalls), even that I could deal with.
But no. NeroVision is even more unstable than Windows Movie maker (something I never thought possible), and is an utterly disappointing failure. Any medium-sized project will crash within minutes, and constantly hammering the 'Save' button was really getting on my nerves.
Before you blame my computer spec, it is an AMD Sempron Palermo 2.2GHz with 1.25Gb of RAM and GeForce 6200 256Mb Graphics: more than enough for even 2008-released programs.
Unless you can handle the severe bugs within this program and you have a computer that also serves as a commercial quality mainframe supercomputer with ampoules of RAM, I would strongly advise you to give this disaster a wide berth. I no longer use the software, and I am very wary of any of these "market leading" software packages offered by other companies. Nero certainly killed its franchise and good name with this load of horse dump.
problems with burning CD-R January 4, 2008 Ver 6 all sections worked well. When software co 'Audible' updated its burn to CD feature I had to purchase Nero7. there was link from Audible to Nero with a special download "offer" promotion. All worked well until I wanted to burn to a CD-R disc! NO GOOD. InCD option was blocked. recently managed to activate InCD option via disk, but this still does not allow burning to CD-R's. Have to burn to CD-RW, transfer to my other PC with Nero 6 and use copy disc option & all is fine.this action was advised by another forum as being legal.
Dont waste your money August 15, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is so frustrating. Sometime you burn an Audio CD with no problems, then 5 CD's in the bin. It crashes or freezes. Roxio is supposed to be better. And if you rename the .MPS files into the order you want them, then attempt to burn an Audio CD, it re-orders them at random - useless.
I too want my money back.
