Dyson does it again! July 31, 2008 Firstly, I can't believe that people are giving this excellent machine such poor reviews! It's a hand-held vacuum cleaner and as such, isn't in the same league as your bigger Dysons, however, in my opinion, it holds its own rather well. It's fantastic for sucking up toast crumbs, excess toddler food, bits from the kitchen floor and cleaning up the car. It looks rather funky too and I often find myself posing around the house with it(!)
If you've got other Dysons, the tools will more than often fit (the flexible crevice tool and the dusting brush certainly do.) It's great, it's easy to empty and I love it - highly recommended!
Not a Hoover, but a very good dust buster! July 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great product, read several reviews claiming Dyson do not tell you about the 6 minute use... funny, as I knew this before I bought it, and I learnt it from Dyson themselves. Ideally used for small jobs around the home, far better than any dust buster.
Is perfect for cleaning my car... May 31, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My Dyson Root 6 gave me 8 minutes of power in my first 3 hour charge, which was more than I was expecting. However, the great suction was the reason I bought it in the first place, and it hasn't let me down one little bit. It picks up little stones and fine dust with no problems. The brush attachment is good for litle hairs too.
I only use it to clean my car and it does a great job. It's very lightweight, compared to other "dustbusters" I have owned, and the slim nozzle gets into all the crevices (even between the seats and doors!)
Another great bonus, is the hassle free way of emptying the dust. You just press a button, and it falls out into the bin! Very handy...
I love my Dyson, and will probably never use another make of Vacuum again. Yes, it's THAT good...For cleaning my Mini.
The best raygun you'll ever buy. April 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yes, the battery life may not be enough to do the whole house, averaging around six to eight minutes depending on which revue you read.
Forget that.
This is a fun piece of work from Dyson that looks the business. It's the styling of this machine that makes it a beautiful object that you don't hide in a cupboard, you display it proudly on a bookshelf. (Well, I do.) It looks like it was inspired by the art work from the early sci-fi paperbacks, and wouldn't look out of place in a holster on the square jawed hero's hip.
Yes, it is expensive for a 'Dustbuster', but if that's all you want then go buy something cheaper, but if you want an eye catching ray-gun that'll suck the life out of an alien (or bugs out of your deep pile carpet) at fifty paces then this is what you purchase. This is a superb, easy to clean, beautifully designed machine. Did I mention that the front comes off so you can wash it in warm soapy water? DO dry thoroughly, preferably on a radiator, while the motor bit's charging, and you'll maintain that 'just bought' look.
I case you hadn't noticed, this customer is well pleased with his Dyson objet d'art.
waste of money April 24, 2008 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I would strongly advise people not to buy this machine. It has to be kept on charge constantly and you are then rewarded with an amazing 4 to 5 minutes use. long enough for you to hoover one seat in the car or 2 steps on the stairs. It then has to be put on charge for another 3 hours before you can use it again. It is the biggest waste of money, buy a dustpan & brush and spend the remainder of the money on something good.
