Hummm September 5, 2008 Not bad while it lasted but mine is now borked, knackered, foobared, deceased history after about 2 months i am not a happy monkey :'(
only up side is i had lager in the fridge when it decided to boil it's last cup.
Great for first week September 2, 2008 When I bought this, using it during the first week I thought it was the best gadget ever and was telling everyone to get one, mainly because we have a household of 9 people so everyone is drinking tea at some point of the day, the 1.5l reservoir and the fact it only heats what you need made it fantastic. During the second week I noticed my tea was not that hot and by the first day of the third week it was not even lukewarm, a warning light came on to tell me that it had scaled up, that was the explanation in the user manual for the water not heating up, I bought 1 liter of white vinegar and used this to de-scale as per instructions and it achieved nothing!
I'm taking it back for a refund, a great idea, sadly just not tested thoroughly, keep trying Tefal.
I love it! September 2, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this as my mum kept moaning about my stove top kettle taking too long. Saw this and thought "she can't moan about this!" and I think it's great. Have had it for over 6 months, no trouble (touch wood) and use it every day. In fact it's made me drink more tea and coffee. I've found the trick is to fill the mug up with just plain water out of the Quick Cup first and then empty before you make the actual tea or coffee. Keeps it lovely and hot then as you've heated the china of the mug. No problem then. An added bonus is that it is always a talking point as most people haven't seen one yet. I love it!
I love Tea and this is perfect August 31, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I didn't buy one of these because of the reviews about how bad the tea tastes on here so when a friend got one i jumped at the chance to have a taste. i was very surprised to find that the tea was piping hot, tasty and stayed sufficiently hot until the last drop in the cup. I subsequently purchased one and I LOVE IT. My tea is instant, tongue burning hot and very satisfying. If you are considering buying one I would definitely say go for it. It is a tad noisy but it takes 10 seconds to fill your cup and my eardrums had definitely not burst at the end of it!!
Couldn't be without it!! August 25, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought mine at Christmas time and haven't boiled the kettle since. As a lover of green tea this gadget is superb as the water is at a perfect brewing temperature, also means you can drink your tea almost as soon as its ready rather than having to add cold water! As a keen cook I also find this quick and easy for making instant stock. 8 months on I've only used 3 filters ordering 4th today and looks as good as new. As for perfect coffee - buy a coffee machine!
