 wonderful but fiddly July 13, 2008
I have had Dyson's for more than 10 years, the most recent a DC07 has finally been replaced by the DC024, partly becuase the new one is so light. The cleaning power is totally awesome. We have cats and the amount of hair comming up makes me wonder how good the DC07 was towards the end! The ball is easy to use and all in all I was heading towards giving the DC024 5 stars.
Then it stopped working. Something got wrapped round the brushes at the front and the manual supplied with the Dyson was useless. One call to dyson later and we were back in business but..
It got blocked so we had to fiddle round again trying to unblock the hoses on the side - some 10 minutes later we were back in business only to find the hose was too short to do the stairs (there are 9 stairs on our staircase). The final insult came when we emptied the cylander and managed to click the release button twice by mistake and it emptied the contents over the machine.
Don't get me wrong, it is a wonderful machine and we would not give it back, but if you have a large house with children be prepaired to spend time unblocking the hoses and un pluging the machine as the power cable or hose is not as long as you need it.

Really happy with this, its a lot of money but definately worth it. Its so easy to manouver and its small size means its easy to store. I couldn't believe the stuff that came out of the carpet the first time I used it!! Ideal for someone with a 2 bed house and wrist problems!

I was initially looking for a cylinder vacuum cleaner, as I always thought the upright was too heavy and clumsy to use. Yet this vacuum is really light, easy to manuvour. I'm very satisfied it. It did a much better cleaning job than our previous one. The whole house smells clean! Down side, the extension tube is a bit short, as previously other people have mentioned. I don't mind it too muhc though

Having used Dysons for several years I recently lost custody of the ball full size machine and moved into a bungalow. Storage is at a premium so the small size and retracting handle appealled. This machine does it all, very light, very easy to use and incrediblely efficient. My mother has also brought one and despite Lupus and RA can fly round the house getting into all the nooks and crannies that even a full size ball cannot reach. I really cannot fault it at all. Dyson does it again. PS can you bring back your washing machines too?

Nice and Easy for you to read as it is to clean,
Had the Dyson dc04 I thought was ace which it was, but 4 years later there was this little baby, just go in to your local currys and have a look and feel, push the go bar with your feet and your running around the shop cleaning, too easy, and what a easy sale it was for the guy, that wasnt even there, it sales it self!!! all you have to do is have the little play and you know cleaning wont ever be the same...
Gets a 5/5 even if the power lead is just a tad shorter then you would want it, but the light weight makes up for it
