disappointing July 31, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Yes - easily putogether but a very disappointing design. As the grass cutting box fills up the balance of this lightweight machine tips to the rear and so lifts up the cutting blade. You have to keep the machine down to acheive a decnt cut especially on slopes. The handle that you need to press to ensure power connection can trap your palm in a very irritating nippy way and after only 3 months ownership the starting mechanism is not 100% reliable.
Excellent Mower July 29, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I brought this mower this week and although I have only cut the grass once with my new mower it was soo much better than my last flymo which used to take me a an age to cut the grass. I would definatley recomend it to anyone looking for a mower to cut a small garden!
Better than a hover, better than an elan 32 July 18, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I had a hover for long grass (early season) and elan 32 cylinder mower for the weekly cut - madness. This mower is easier to manoeuvre than the hover/dragger. It cuts better than the cylinder mower which did an awful job. It is remarkably light and collects well.
I should have bought this years ago.
If storage is an issue (as it is for me) then the wing nuts half way down the handle can be undone and the handle folded in two.
Great little mower April 22, 2008 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
I bought this to replace a hand-me-down hover mover which finally packed up. I'm very pleased, although perhaps I should have spent the extra money and bought the Rotak 34 (more on this later).
The lawnmower is light, cuts well, and the grass collection is very efficient. It copes very well with the unevenness of the surface. It's much, much easier to push round than my old hover mower, and the balance barely changes as the grass box fills up.
On one side of my lawn I have raised beds behind wooden battens. The mower cuts fairly well here, but I wonder whether I should have got the next model up, the Rotak 34, which has the grass combs? Not having tried it, I don't know whether this would be any better. Note: the 34 is not the same as the 34C, which is basically a slightly bigger version of this mower. I can't see the point of that.
This mower gets a lot smaller when the grassbox is removed, which might be handy if you have a very small shed.
All in all, I'm very pleased with this mower, and it really is a lot less bother than a hover.
simply superb September 30, 2007 30 out of 30 found this review helpful
Cuts beautifully, simple, manoeuvrable can carry this through one hand. Had a 100+ worth flymo before this, which was very awkward to carry through the house and was awkward when the grass box began to fill up. I'm finding this cuts better and remains effortless when the grass box is completely full. This is worth at least twice as much as the ticket price.
