I have this dish and use it frequently (in answer to another reviewer's query, it is the stoneware dish rather than the cast iron one but the picture looks correct to me); it's perfect for pies, Yorkshire pudding, etc and is always really easy to wash. I have only had it for a couple of years so can't really comment on its long-term durability, but so far it still looks as good as new. I'd recommend it, especially for the relatively cheap price.

The description is of Le Creuset Poterie, which is the pretty but useless ceramic ovenware that deteriorates in all the ways it promises not to. The pictures show a Le Creuset cast iron Rectangular Dish, which is a superbly versatile and durable piece of kit and far too cheap at this price.
Perfect for Pies but it is currently the WRONG dish pictured at AMAZON! March 17, 2005

Versatility is THE word with Le Creuset 'Poterie':-
Oven, microwave, freezer & dishwasher safe; suitable for microwave/combination ovens, conventional ovens and grills.
The tough, craze-free finish is totally hygienic and is stain/scratch resistant.
Perfect for pies, this is a lovely deep dish, 31cm x 21.5cm, with rim for that golden pastry crust - a pleasure to take to the table, straight from the oven!
'Poterie' dishes look like new after every use, and are so easy to wash up by hand, if a dishwasher is not in your kitchen!
nb - At the time of writing the AMAZON photo shows the 'CAST IRON OVEN DISH' - please refer to other 'poterie' dishes for an idea of what this dish actually looks like.

This is a superb dish from 'Le Creuset Poterie', in the traditional 'Le Creuset' Volcanic (orange) colour.
With the party season fast approaching, it looks beautiful straight from the oven on to your table - steak and kidney pie with a crispy top - can't you just smell the aroma?!Oven/Microwave/Freezer/Dishwasher safe or very easy to clean if a(mechanical)dishwasher doesn't live in your kitchen!
The tough, craze-free finish is stain and scratch resistant and the dish can be used in microwave combination ovens, conventional ovens and even under the grill. Approx size 31cm x 21.5cm.
