Not entirely impressed April 16, 2008 The plus sides of this is the recipes but otherwise, the ingredients are quite bizarre for the bread itself. I have made bread before and I never put this stuff in it.
It takes almost 3 hours to make a loaf, it's not entirely tasty but on the other hand the dough making facility, jam making and cake making facilitya nd the option to make other recipes is a plus.
I was expecting bread like my bakery but I was disappointed. I would probably continue to use it or pass it on to somebody else who would make more use out of it.
Great breadmaker April 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is the first breadmaker I've bought. I've been entirely satisfied with it. it is easy to use, easy to clean, and doesn't take up too much room on the kitchen counter.
I haven't experimented with too many different types of bread, but usually make wholemeal bread using the recipe in the book which came with the machine. It makes consistently good bread - especially delicious when fresh first thing in the morning.
The only tip I'd pass on is that it's important to take the mixing paddle out of the bread before you cut it.
Very Good Buy March 20, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've often dabbled in the science of baking bread, unfortunately rarely with any success. So decided to get hold of a cheap breadmaker.
Size was my first criteria, we do not have a lot of space in our Kitchen, this one fits nicely on top off the dryer with plenty room left for the iron and ironing accessories.
It's more noisy than the dryer while it kneads, and I've found that premade bread mixes make it rattle and shake more than fresh ingredience. But it;s only a few minutes and mostly over night while we sleep.
The first loaf I turned out was white, very nice insde even if the crusts where a little over done even on the light setting. But subsequent experimentation has proven successful and we now get a nice even light brown crust.
All in all I have no complaints with this unit. It's pretty much been churning out loaves sinces it landed the day after I ordered it from Amazon and thus far no technical issues have presented.
A bit about Amazon as an online vendor, I will never use another supplier again, their guaranteed delivery is great, this was delivered on a Saturday even though I only expected it the following Tuesday. In the past their returns and replacement service has been second to none, and I cannt stress what a pleasure it is to deal with an efficient organisation such as this.
Perfect little breadmaker February 28, 2008 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
After reading good reviews, I bought this breadmaker and had no real expectations, didn't know how much we would use it etc. But after sitting in it's box for a couple of months we got started and haven't looked back! Very simple to use, beautiful bread every time. It (so far) hasn't burnt any loaves or broken down and we use it nearly every other day!
breaks down after 2nd use! January 27, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Unfortunately, the breadmaker broke down after having used twice! (motor failed to turn the blade). The plus point is Amazon's excellent customer refund policy. I have since bought a good panasonic breadmaker through amazon and no problems whatsoever, makes great bread every time!
