5 out of 5 stars Bread-making by Machine or hand   July 23, 2007
I bought this book when I was 21 and wanted to learn how to make bread for myself, as I had watched my Nana and Mum make bread as a child having so many good memories I wanted to do this for myself.

I remember learning to use the "flying sponge" method to make bread very fast, this was before the days of Fast-action yeast. I used to make pizza dough and threw many parties for friends at my flat in Islington London, i used the fast method and the ingredients for pizza dough.

Over the last two years I have used a bread-machine, and I have just bought a Kenwood BM350, it is now I have started to go and re-work these recipes from this book and adapt them for use in this bread machine, I have had some great success with most of the doughs that I have tried so far, and can thoroughly recommend this book as an excellent resource for bread making.
Just for the record, I have had used this book for the last 24 years, it is a little worn and dirty but well loved!
