Boring August 17, 2008 This book is boring, the recipes are boring and unadventurous and the layout is boring. Luckily I did'nt pay for it, it was given to me. There are far more better baby recipe books out there.
Might be useful if you really can't cook May 10, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
If I had picked this book up in a bookstore and looked at it first I would not have bought it. I'll probably throw it away.
It might suit you if you do not normally do any sort of cooking. If you can cook then spend your money on something a bit more detailed.
This book only pays lip service to waiting until 6 months to give solids.
Er, how shall I say this? Not for middle class mums.
must have February 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
weaning from 4 months (not six, as with other weening books)so good that i bought it for all my expectant friends. Easy to follow recepies. would definatley use this book again & again!
So good I've bought it twice February 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Seriously, if I hadn't lost this book in a house move I would have used it at the start of weaning my daughter. I first bought it when my son was about 3 months old and although we didn't start weaning for another 2.5 months it meant that I had plenty of time to plan and to start storing things (like puree'd carrots).
My daughter is now almost 6 months old and I've bought a second copy so that I can benefit from the fantastic recipes and the useful meal plans this time round too.
The recipes are easy, quick and nutrious. I found the storage times really useful because I've always been a fan of making big batches and then freezing.
Best of all, it was written in a way that didn't make you feel like a total idiot for not knowing how to go about weaning your first baby (or your second for that matter).
Fantastic July 5, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This book is fantastic. All receipes really easy to follow, loads of variety and meal plans for different ages. I bought 3 baby food books at the same time as this, and I can honestly say I have only really used this one as all the others make everything sound complicated. Would recommend it to anybody!
