I loved my chillow (notice the past tense right there).
It keeps you colder than you would otherwise be; although there are a couple of small problems;
1 - Smells strange (not that i minded, infact i liked it but you mightn't)
2 - does eventually get warm
3 - the instructions say to not let your cat anywhere near it..
Here's my story; after a long nice cool night i woke up early morning and my chillow was pretty much warm (this was after a whole night though) so i took it out from under me and put it on the other side of the bed to let it cool a bit... when i woke up my lovely cat was sitting on it purring away unfortunately he also managed to puncture it while he was at it.
However; all is not lost i used a bike puncture repair kit; and with a bit of care its lovely again!

I Ordered the chillow as i was as baking and wanted cooling down for summer, Order never arrived after 18 days. i got the 2nd Replacment order and was using for aprox 2 months very little use and the product had started leaking or letting in air! Asked amazon for help told TOUGH LUCK after 30 days of purchase.
REALY GOOD SERVICE FROM AMAZON ! NOT ! :( NOW I AM 25 SKINT AND BAKING HOT SWEATING IN SUMMER ! NO THANKS TO AMAZON ! BOO .oO AVOID AMAZON Oo.

Yes it does give the impression of beeing cool... for like 5 minutes! Then it becomes warm.
Also, I have used this product perhaps 5 nights and the little mat inside turned on itself and it's impossible to stretch it flat again as there's only a little hole for the water. I had to throw the chillow in the bin!
That was 25 well spent... not!

They don't half hype this pillow. Its a pillow with absorbant foam inside, Your pour water in an leave to be absorbed. It does work ok so I can't complain. BUT I could not help wish I had tried to fill a 'hot water bottle' with cold water as I think the effect would be the same.
The pillow is ok good but a bit overpriced at 24. The only two downs are after you fill you can't empty (its heavy) and the foam sheet is not attached so it gets all crumpled (takes ages to try and straighten)

My five year old has terrible trouble sleeping in this hot weather - which obviously disturbs the rest of us! However since having a Chillow she sleeps the whole night through and is much nicer the next day.
