This book would be great if there were more dishes in it. I dare not say any more incase they put the hurt on me!
Delicious meals and Deadly deals May 8, 1999 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
This book was written from the heart, and as every Italian knows, the way to the heart is through the stomach. Mr.Ianuzzi combination of true-life exploits and culinary mastery produce a cultural expose' that helps define a way of life that few of us will ever experience. WHAT-EVER ! The "CAPONARA" is to die for and the Marinara Sauce should be illegal! In other words, this book is a must for every kitchen! A compliment cookbook to Joe Dogg"s is Dom Deluiese's: "Eat this , it'll make you feel better"
Guns, Gambino and Gnocchi January 6, 1999 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Where else can you learn to make Giambotta like "old school" and discover how one unloads 580 pounds of Columbian Gold for a sizeable profit? The authors mix tales of Mafia Men at their best, either "whacking" or "persuading" reluctent individuals, along with the classic combinations of tomatos, olive oil and garlic. This book belongs right next to your copy of The Joy of Cooking.
Outstanding recipies with bold flavors July 29, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cookbook blew away several other Italian recipie books I've tried. Unusual ingredients blend to make mouth watering flavors. The marinara sauce in unequaled in flavor.
