 Can't fault it September 30, 2008
Boils very fast, you can have the whistle switched on or off. Absolutely no reason to complain. Looks pretty nice too!
 Cheap Plasticky looking Kettle September 16, 2008
I don't understand the other reviews regarding how this kettle looks.
The fact is it looks cheap and nasty.
I can not comment about how it operates as I sent it back because of a strong smell of hot plastic when it was first used.
I have now bought a polished steel jug kettle for only a few pounds more and am much happier with it in my kitchen.
Don't believe the hype. I suspect that the positive reviews last longer than the negative ones.

I have had this kettle for about a year. Yes this kettle is cheap,pleasing to look at and gives useful markers for 1 cup etc. but it is not fast. It boils for quite some time until it switches off. If you live in London (or similar hard water area), you will be descaling it about once a month and within less than a week the limescale will build to slow the switch off time. Time for me to find a less electricity hungry and labour intensive kettle.

It arrived promptly and looks good, especially for the price. It boils quickly and lights up so you know it's turned on. It also has a whistle when it's boiled, although I've turned this off now as the novelty has worn off. Just need to find a four slot toaster to match

Bought this kettle from Amazon last May and it has broken already. It is not connecting properly with the base so works in a certain position but mostly not. I am still waiting to hear about a refund..........
