The jug looks nice but that is just about all that it has going for it. The first disappointment was that there was a note in the box that warned the measurements were approximate - what is the point of having a jug if you cannot rely on this? I wish I had got a refund immediately because I have found that many of the measurements have been removed after only three runs through the dishwasher (and if I was that good at guessing the volume of liquids to use in a recipe, I would not have needed a jug in the first place!). I am going back to my old pyrex jug.

Although this jug looks and feels gorgeous, I was highly disappointed when I first used the jug. I'd made a pint of gravy up and thought i'd just put this jug on the table instead of a gravy boat. I tipped it slowly and the gravy just came out of the tip and run straight down the outside of the jug, missing the plate and covering the table!! The jug is just too thick for a proper functioning jug. Buy for cosmetic purposes by all means but not for everyday use.

This is a lovely jug - beautiful duck egg colour, excellent size from a measuring point of view (many measuring jugs are too large a scale to easily measure 100ml, for instance, but this one is great) but the one dissapointment is that if you put it in the dishwasher, the markings go within a few washes, so it no longer serves as a measuring jug! Its all very well to wash it up by hand each time, but for a functional kitchen item, that's not very practical, so it should be taken into account when purchasing this product that if you want to use it for the purpose it is intended, it is NOT suitable to go in the dishwasher.
