So far all so good October 5, 2008 SO far everything I have made from this book has been wonderful. The bread recipe is amazing and really does only need 3 hours dehydrating. The mango cobbler recipe is delicious and the colour pictures in the middle really make you want to eat so much more healthily.
At last a raw food book I can get my teeth into! July 21, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have tried several raw food 'cook' books of late - they all had something to offer, but they have been dominated by dips and sauces rather than the 'solid' food I was seeking. This is well illustrated, easy to follow, doesn't rely too heavily on a dehydrator (but a food processor would be useful) and generally brighter and more accessible than others I have read, still lots of dips, but much more besides. An instant favourite.
Magical food February 20, 2008 13 out of 19 found this review helpful
My family enjoys this raw food book. Everything we have made from it has turned out wonderfully delicious; all the recipes are straight forward with easy to find ingredients. We use this book so often we call it 'the bible'.
On a very cute note, I have a son (20 months) and he adores Ani. Most children have cartoon characters they look-up to, but he has Ani (and many other raw food innovators). He often asks for the Ani Phyo book. He likes to read it, look at all of her pictures and tell us what she is doing/making. He'll take the book, sit at the table with mixing bowls, measuring spoons etc and "create' Ani's recipes. She is even a bedtime favourite for reading!
So thank you for all the beautiful food you have inspired in our house and bringing so much joy to my magical little boy.
