This cook book is brilliant on all of those counts, my three year old loves everything I have tried and as for me, I am hardly a great cook but some of the results have been very impressive! Fantastic!   October 2, 2007  5 out of 7 found this review helpful I've been so inspired by Gordon Ramsay that I have thrown away all the jars in the cupboard and now I make almost everything from scratch with fresh ingredients. I've been cooking from Gordon's sunday lunch book which is wonderful, but find that I sometimes just want a recipe I can leave simmering so I dont have to spend long cooking, especially when I have guests over. I also work long hours so I want something I can start off and leave cooking whilst I get on with other things. THIS is what this book achieves for me. I haven't been through every recipe but my favourites are: Steak and Guiness Pie Spaghetti Bolognaise Chilli Con Carne The result is fantastic, I never imagined I could make a steak pie that rivals anything you can buy from the supermarket. The bolognaise is amazing. The book is worth it for these recipes alone Happy Cooking! Great if you're a good cook. Slightly less simple if you're Tana Ramsay and don't inspire. Put up and shut up with the excellent money you have already. I've tried many recipies and not found any that I thought were any good and I'm a fairly good cook!
