I've been baking my own bread (by hand) for the past 5 yrs, and in that time, I've purchased and scoured all over for bread books that not only inspired me, but contained recipes that I would use regularly and were relatively hassle free.I purchased this book almost 3-4 mths ago and it has already become a favourite. It has 365 recipes - 100 of which are for use with a bread machine. The recipes covered range from Everyday breads & rolls, Speciality & Festive breads, Flat breads, Quick breads, Breadmaker recipes, Gluten-free breads and Bread dishes - using bread as an ingredient in meals etc.
Anne Sheasby is a member of the Guild of Food Writers and the Institute of Consumer Sciences incorporating Home Economics in the UK, and to say she knows her stuff is an understatement! In her introduction and Bread Basics sections, she clearly explains all you need to know whether you are an experienced baker or a complete novice. I highly recommend this book to all bakers - it may not contain all bread recipes, but it does cover many of the different types of tasty breads (sweet and savoury) available globally. Each recipe is written clearly, easily accessible, and you'll just love its spiral-bound format - a great help when baking!
Most of the recipes have photos - although it would have been lovely to see more - but, don't let that put you off! Anne's recipes are thoroughly straight forward, stress-free, but most importantly... mouthwatering!!! So far, the recipe I keep running back to is her Honey Oatmeal bread...... You won't be disappointed with this book, I guarantee that you'll find a recipe that keeps you coming back for more and won't take up too much of your time or money!
